River Frome

Harescombe Fisheries now own half a mile of the River Frome at Whitminster in Gloucestershire, between the a38 and the M5.

Although the River does hold natural Brown Trout (believed to be up to 3lbs) we have just stocked it with 150 Brown Trout weighing between 1-2lbs.

You can fish for the Trout until 8th October, but please be aware that you can only do this using a Fly and only from the South Bank. Our bailiffs will be on the bank to make sure that these rules are adhered to.

Directions:

From Gloucester/M5 J13:
Access to the River will be by the A38, 75 metres south of the Fromebridge Mill, by turning immediately left after crossing the River bridge.

From Bristol/South:
We advise you go all the way to the Fromebridge Mill roundabout and then head back down the dual carriageway to the River bridge, then head immediately left.

On arrival, enter the land via the combination padlocked fate and park on the right. Please lock the gate when you have gone through (and the same when you leave). You will get the combination when you purchase a ticket.

Tickets only available via Telephone or by visiting our Lake complex. To book via ‘phone, contact us.
